Hi! I’m Caroline Schiff, but you might know me as @PastrySchiff, and maybe you know my work- my whimsical baked Alaskas, floral adorned layer cakes, buttery shortbreads, chewy bagels, and crusty loaves of sourdough. I’ve been in the business for over two decades, and along the way, I authored a cookbook, “The Sweet Side of Sourdough”, became a James Beard Outstanding Pastry Chef Award Finalist, and was named a Food + Wine Best New Chef 2022. These days I’m in and out of the kitchen, creating, writing, consulting, and popping up all over. But there’s so much more to come! My sophomore cookbook “Daily Dessert” will be out in the world October 13, 2026, and the doors of my restaurant - Monday Diner, in Brooklyn, NY will open its doors soon! If I’m being true to myself, I love nothing more than a grilled cheese sandwich with a half sour pickle, followed up with a slice of coconut layer cake; and even more so, sharing it all with you!
